United States Potato Stamp Craft
The United States is one of the world’s top potato growers and exporters. In the United States, the average person consumes 100 pounds of potatoes per year!
Talk about how foods are grown and shared in different parts of the world while while making these fun potato stamps with your children.
Tip for younger kids: let your child draw a simple shape design with a toothpick or other tool, and then carve the stamp for them.
Supplies Needed
- Potatoes (larger potatoes are easier to carve)
- Butter knife, edge of a peeler, small spoon or toothpicks
- Paint
- Paper
Preparation

- Cut your potato in half
- Use the butter knife, edge of a peeler, small spoon or toothpicks to make designs in your potato.
- Dip in paint or use a paint brush to spread paint on your stamp
- Stamp away on your paper!
