German Potato Stamps Craft
Potatoes have been a large part of the German diet since the 18th century, and today is one of the world’s top potato exporters. Talk about how different foods are grown and shared in different parts of the world as you make your potato stamps!
Another topic of conversation can be exploring the results of carving, the effects of positive and negative spaces on your designs.
Tip for younger children: let your child draw a simple shape design with a toothpick or other tool, and then carve the stamp for them.
