German Black Eagle Puppet Craft

The Black Eagle is the national symbol of Germany, and is one of the oldest state symbols in Europe. Making this black eagle paper bag puppet can be a fun way to talk about why countries choose certain animals to represent their country.

Supplies Needed

brown paper lunch bag
download our Eagle Puppet template
printer
scissors
glue or glue stick
crayons or markers

Preparation

Print out the Eagle Puppet template (below)
Cut out each part (head, tail, wings, eyes, feet, top and bottom beak)
Glue the head to the topside of the flap, then add the eyes and top beak
Glue the tail and the feet to the bottom back and front of the bag
Glue the wings to the inside of the side creases of the bag
Glue the bottom beak to the front side of the bag, positioned beneath the top beak
Color your eagles with crayons or markers, and your eagle puppet is ready to play!
