Ting-a-Lings

Popularized in America in the mid-20th Century, Ting-A-Lings are fun to say and fun to eat!

This version is quick and simple, for you and your kids to make together.

Ingredients / Tools
  • 2: 6-ounce packages semisweet chocolate pieces
  • 4 cups cereal (i.e. Cheerios or Kix)
Preparation
  1. Melt chocolate in a bowl in the microwave (our tried-and-true technique is to start with one minute on medium power, stir and then microwave for 15-30 seconds at a time on medium power, stirring each time until chocolate is nicely melted)
  2. Cool slightly, gently stir in cereal until well coated.
  3. Drop with spoon onto waxed paper.
  4. Refrigerate until hard and dry (a couple of hours)
