Ola Sēne (Mushroom Egg)
Mushrooms are a very common ingredient in Latvian dishes as they are grown throughout Latvia. While this dish may not be a traditional Latvian dish it's a great way to get your kids to eat some healthy food!

Gurķis Salāti (Cucumber Salad)
Cucumbers have been a large part of the Latvian diet for at least the last 100 years. They are traditionally pickled to last throughout the cold winter, but this salad can be served fresh any time!

Since Latvia is located right on the Baltic Sea and the Gulf of Riga, we thought a sailboat conversation would only be appropriate! Plus these sailboats make for a very healthy snack!
