Sarkaņu Pipari Laivīte
Red Pepper Sailboat

Latvia is located right on the Baltic Sea and in the Gulf of Riga boats are a popular sight! These little red pepper sailboats are a great way to get your kids talking about Latvia's geography while eating some nutritious food!

Ingredients

• 1 Red pepper
• Lettuce leaves
  
• Cheddar cheese cubes
  
• Toothpicks
  

Preparation

1. Cut off the top of a fresh red pepper and remove the seeds.
2. Slice the pepper lengthwise into about 1” pieces.
3. Insert a lettuce leaf on a toothpick
4. Insert the toothpick into a cheese cube and place on the red pepper slice.
