Saurkrautback to traditional German children's recipes
Bratwurst with Saurkraut

Saurkraut or sour cabbage is a great way to introduce your kids to German culture! Cabbage is pickled in the same way cucumber pickles are traditionally made, but our recipe calls for the store bought version. The bratwurst can be grilled or boiled and hot dogs or vegetarian tofu dogs can be substituted!

Ingredients

  • Bratwursts, hot dogs, or vegetarian tofu dogs
  • Buns
  • 1 jar of saurkraut

Preparation

  1. Boil, bake or grill your bratwursts, hot dogs or tofu dogs
  2. Place in your bun and top with saurkraut
