Paper Chain for the Day of German Unification (Tag der Deutschen Einheit)
Tag der Deutschen Einheit or Day of German Unification is celebrated in Germany each year on October 3. This national holiday celebrates the breaking down of the Berlin Wall and the unification of East Germany with West Germany. Use this black, red and yellow paper chain as a decoration to celebrate your own Tag der Deutschen Einheit!
What you'll need:
- Black, Yellow and Red construction paper.
- Stapler, Glue or Tape
- Scissors
Preparation
- Cut each paper into strips about 2 inches wide.
- Fold one strip into a circle and fasten the ends using your adhesive.
- Loop another strip through the first circle and fasten the ends.
- Continue until you have a long paper chain and hang!
