Leaf Paper Rubbing

Oak trees are the national trees of Germany.  The wood is very strong and the leaves turn beautiful shades of red, orange and yellow in the fall.  If you can’t find oak leaves, any leaves will do!

What You'll Need

  • Leaves
  • Paper
  • Crayons or pencils

Preparation

  1. Place your leaf on a hard surface area.
  2. Place the paper on top of the leaf.
  3. Hold the paper down with one hand and gently color on the paper over the leaf.  You will see the leaf pattern show up on the paper.
