Black Bean Soup - Circle Time Kidsback to traditional French children's recipes
Fruit or Veggie Train

France's train system is one of the most extensive in the world. The train à grande vitesse or TGV holds the record for the fastest wheeled train and fastest passenger train in the world. Your kids will surely enjoy learning about France's amazing train system while making their own fruit or veggie train!

Ingredients

  • Fruit or veggie chunks for the train cars
  • Toothpicks to connect the "cars" (snip off the ends if you are worried about poking little fingers. Or you can use peanut butter or cream cheese to "glue" the cars together)
  • Other options include grapes or olive slices for the wheels. Or use carrot sticks to build a track.

Preparation

  1. Connect your fruit or veggie chunks using your method of choice.
  2. Attach your wheels and build the track.
  3. Eat and talk about how cool trains are!
