Black Bean Soup - Circle Time Kidsback to traditional French children's recipes
Crepes

Crepes are popular throughout France and can be eaten as dessert when filled with chocolate, strawberries, whipped cream or powdered sugar. They can also be eaten as a meal when filled with meat, cheese, eggs or vegetables. Crepes can be tricky so we chose an easy pancake recipe to fill with sweet things!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups pancake mix such as Bisquick
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 Eggs
  • Butter
  • Optional filling: fruit slices (strawberries, blueberries, apples, bananas, pineapple, etc.), fruit spread or jam, whipped cream, powdered sugar, chocolate, syrup.
  • Tooth picks to hold in a roll

Preparation

  1. Stir together pancake mix, eggs and milk.
  2. Heat your skillet and add a pat of butter.
  3. When butter is melted add half a cup full of batter to pan.
  4. Cook on both sides until golden.
  5. Spread your filling on your cooked pancake.
  6. Roll and use a toothpick to hold together your "crepe".
