La Fête Nationale (National Holiday) Paper Chain

La Fête Nationale (or Bastille Day) is a national holiday in France celebrating the national unity of France. The holiday is celebrated on July 14th each year with many military parades and fireworks.  Use this paper chain as a decoration to celebrate your own Fête Nationale.

What you'll need:

  • Red, Blue and White construction paper
  • Stapler, glue or tape
  • Scissors

Preparation

  1. Cut each piece of construction paper into strips approximately 2 inches wide.
  2. Fold one strip into a circle and fasten the ends using your adhesive.
  3. Loop another strip through the first circle and fasten the ends.
  4. Continue until you have a long paper chain and hang!
