Chinese Paper Cutting
Decorative paper cutting is an ancient art from China as paper was invented in China. The cut outs are used to decorate windows and doors and there are lots of design possibilities. Common designs are flowers and animals of the Chinese Zodiac but you can do shapes, letters, numbers, anything!
What you'll need:
- Tissue or construction paper
- Scissors
Preparation
- Fold your paper in half and again in half.
- Cut designs along the folds.
- Unfold and hang in a window or other light place.
